Madison & Richard

Friday, August Seventh, Two Thousand Twenty-Six • Banff, AB, Canada

Please note the Ceremony STARTS at 3:30 (I'm being so forreal). Please arrive at least ~15 minutes beforehand. Reference the shuttle schedule provided below.

I hate when people are late and we will just start without you. If you are on one of the designated shuttles from downtown, you will be good!

SHUTTLE SCHEDULE:

There will be a Coach bus making two rounds of drop-offs from the front of the following two hotels: Moxy and Mount Royal. The bus schedule is as follows:

- 1:50 PM: First Bus departs Mount Royal Hotel Parking Lot

- 2:10 PM: First Bus departs Moxy Banff Hotel

- 2:30 PM: First Bus arrives at Fairmont Banff Springs for drop-off

- 2:45 PM: Second (and last) Bus departs Mount Royal Hotel

- 3:00 PM: Second (and last) Bus departs Moxy Hotel

- 3:15 PM: Second Bus arrives at Fairmont Banff Springs for drop-off

- 3:30 PM: Wedding ceremony begins

Please do not be late as these are departure times and the bus will not wait. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30 PM. We encourage guests to take the first shuttle and grab a refreshing beverage and/or snack at the famous Rundle Bar at the Fairmont (actually five feet from ceremony location).

As for transportation back to downtown Banff after the wedding, there will be a smaller shuttle that will travel back and forth, leaving the Fairmont every 45 minutes starting at 10:30 PM and ending at 1:30 AM.

How do I get to the Wedding Ceremony?

If you are staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs, then you just need to travel downstairs to the Outdoor Terrace (outside of the Rundle Bar). If you are staying in a hotel in downtown Banff, please reference the shuttle schedule above! Transportation is provided both ways. If you are staying outside of Banff, you will need to provide your own transportation to venue. I recommend figuring that out in advance, as there are no available ubers.

How do I get to the Wedding Welcome Party (Lupo)?

If you are staying in downtown Banff, it should be a quick walk to the restaurant (also in downtown Banff). If you are staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs, there is a local bus that will take you from the Fairmont Banff Springs to downtown (~10 minute ride). The hotel provides you with free bus passes, so make sure you get those at the front desk! The bus should arrive at 5:42 PM and 6:01 PM everyday. See here for the schedule: https://roamtransit.com/schedules-routes/route-2/. The route is Route 2: Tunnel Mountain, Downtown Bound (Toward Campground via Downtown Banff, your stop: Banff Springs Hotel). You can either get off at Downtown Caribou East or Banff High School Field and it will be a 2-4 minute walk.

How do I get to Banff?

The closest airport is Calgary International Airport (YYC). YYC is approximately a 90 minute drive into Downtown Banff. You can either rent a car or schedule an airport shuttle.

Where should I stay?

We have added a few hotels in the "Travel" section of the website. We have personally stayed at each of these hotels and there will be shuttles on the wedding day leaving from two hotels in downtown Banff. You are welcome to stay at any hotel in downtown Banff - all are walking distance to one of the shuttles. You can obviously stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, but we recognize how pricey this hotel is. If you are extending your stay in Banff, we recommend staying at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for at least one night.

Do I need to rent a car?

No - You do not need a car. Everything in downtown Banff is walking distance. The Fairmont Banff Springs is one mile from downtown Banff and shuttles will be provided on the day of the wedding to take guests back and forth. There is also public transportation in downtown Banff and free shuttles to and from popular areas. There are also multiple tour agencies that can take you to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and elsewhere. If you plan on staying longer and hiking around Banff or driving up the Icefields Parkway, then renting a car is recommended!

Will kids be allowed?

This will be an adults-only affair. Thanks for understanding!

When should we arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Please arrive to the outdoor terrace of the Fairmont Banff by 3:15 PM the latest. Please account for ~15-20 minutes of travel time if you are coming from downtown Banff. There will be shuttles from downtown Banff to take you to the wedding ceremony (and home). I will provide more details on the shuttle services once we get closer to wedding date (please provide your accommodation details in the wedding RSVP so I can plan accordingly).

What is the dress code?

For the welcome dinner, semi-formal attire is recommended! For women, this includes cocktail dresses, jumpsuit or dress pants. For men, dress pants and button down shirt. Jacket and tie are not necessary. For the ceremony & reception, formalwear is recommended and tuxedos & gowns are encouraged! Feel free to wear your best attire - impossible to upstage the bride and groom.

More information will be provided as we get closer to event date! Banff is a very popular summer destination - we recommend booking your accommodations quickly for best availability and pricing.
